Grandma Dooley by Les
Grandma Dooley a kind and caring person. She had TB at that time and wasn’t able to show physical affection account of her disease. She was a nice lady and a good cook like all our aunts. I’ll always remember her and that big crock she mixed the biscuits that were then baked in the wood cook stove. Makes me drool just think of those biscuits.

I recall Grandma always having time to sing with me (and probably everyone else). I don’t remember her ever being sick. However, I can only recall specifically, one time being in the kitchen with Grandma while she was cooking. It is possible that I could have the singing of “Blueberry Hill” confused with Aunt Hazel. Hazel and I reminisced about that being a song she and I had sung at an earlier age, when I last talked with her at the Billings reunion. (more…)
