Linda Hines’s father was John Hines (Hindes or Hynes) born in North Caroline about 1812 according to the 1850 census. He had a wife Paulina and several children. He had an 82 year old John F. Hines born in Prussia living in the same household in 1850. This was possibly his father or grandfather. He had 9 children with Paulina. Several of the childen listed were mentioned by Minnie as Linda’s half-siblings.
The 1870 census listed Ann as the wife. Linda was listed as Melinda. She was listed as Malinda on the 1880 census
Ann Hines was buried in the Rocky Point Cemetery in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. There are no dates on her tombstone.
